Hi everyone and welcome to a new ViniloEnfermos video Today we’re opening Discogs orders. What’s up friends! Today we’re opening 4 Discogs orders. All of them have at least 2 records so… Let’s get into it! First box comes from seller Pittaluga from France He sent the biggest box I ever received. The first record is a double LP compilation By The Cimarons, titled “People Say” It’s a French release from 1991 Lagoon Records. Only vinyl edition available. Actually what I wanted to buy was the LP “On The Rock” (1976) But it’s got a high market price and it’s still not reissued I realised most of the songs from “On The Rock” and 2 other albums are included in this compilation And I decided to get it. Let’s check it out! The jacket is quite well. Just some discoloration on the top edge. The spine is pristine Slight wear on the corners. Some glue residue from the price sticker that I’ll try to remove. A photograph of The Cimarons and the tracklist There are illustrations inside the gatefold And info in English and French about the Maroons Slaves that scaped from their masters and, when caught, were ejecuted or tortured to death. This is the second record, it’s been removed from inside the jacket. It’s a 1988 reissue of their second album from 1982 The seller told me that the insert was missing when I asked and he offered me a good discount The sleeve is very good Frontier Records Most of you know the song Wild In The Streets This tune reminds me of the skateboarding 80’s movie Thrashin’ Next order also came from France and the seller is Bettergroove This box also has 2 recods. Let’s see them! Back there I placed all the Gladiators records I have so you can see them. It’s a 1978 UK first pressing. It’s supposed to be in VG+/VG+ condition but I can see something written here on the cover So if it has writings, it can’t be VG+. It should be VG tops. Some corners are folded… Yes, this cover… can’t be graded as VG+, see? With such edge wear, folded corners… the spine is so eroded you can’t read anything The record also has writings on the labels… At least this side: “mafia’s” it says “mafia’s” same thing written on the cover So VG/VG… not VG+/VG+ For now this record is overgraded. Let’s check the vinyl itself. And yeah, the record is very well. This record almost completes the almost full Gladiators discography I have Probably my favourite reggae band ever. I’m gonna spin it a lot! Hopefully we’re getting more lucky with the second. It African Dub All-Mighty by Joe Gibbs and The Professionals I unboxed their album Majestic Dub in the last video I’ve listened to this album a lot on YouTube I think, it’s uploaded somewhere. I really wanted to listen to it on vinyl with the proper lows and all Apparently the cover is fine but it has two price stickers on the front. It was graded as VG+ With these sticker I would say it’s just VG No problems on the back. It looks like it comes with the original inner sleeve although the record come in a new one. That’s a nice touch because that 40 year old paper sleeve… is deteriorated and can scratch the records. So the record comes on a new inner sleeve and let’s check it! The record, as the previous one… is very well too. Lightning records 1978. Another record from “my year” As this last seller has been a little disappointing regarding the sleeve gradings I’m gonna skip the victorious dances in this one This is the third order from the Discogs seller Holymountaintulsa in the US And it’s got some things, let’s open it! Carefully packed and the records are well protected First one is Aretha Franklin Atlantic Records 1969 It’s a cover of the Beatles’ song Eleanor Rigby B side has “It Ain’t Fair” I was going to order just an LP you’ll see now from this seller. But I asked him if I could get some 7″ for the same shipping cost He answered I had room for 3 extra 7″ He had so many 7″ on his inventory, and fair prices, that it was easy to find 3. Look at that beautiful label. Baby Love by The Supremes from 1972 This is B-side The last single also very danceable, but totally different two the other 2, is… Same song is on A-side and B-side Actually is says A side on both sides And finally, at last… after years of seeking it I got… In my opinion this is a very complete album. It’s a reissue, not the original pressing. That one goes for over 100€ on Discogs On eBay there’s a NM/NM copy for around 200€ 180€ or so is what people asks for the original release of this album First pressing comes with purple labels And these in the reissure are white, easy to distinguish. It starts with “Leaving”, “Morning Glory” It’s a record for waking up in the morning on a day off from work and with the Sun out, have a full nice breakfast… listening to this wonder Last order of today’s video The seller is named “El Asno” and is Spanish as you can imagine. Also from Discogs Let’s see what it has! There are 3 records 1, 2, 3… Let’s do it! This a compilation of Link Wray’s “Early Recordings” Including his big hit “Rumble” Looks unplayed so… unbeatable! I want to show you 2 copies I have of “Rumble” from 1958 Cadence Records, I bought them from the same US seller For the same shipping price… And I own 2. I’ll sell 1 one day This is an Eddie Floyd compilation I sold one of his singles long ago Big Bird, the third on the tracklist I’ve always regreted selling it. ‘Cause I love that song So I found this compilation for half the price I sold the 7″ It seemed a good deal It’s a 1988 UK release The cover is very good, some edge wear The record is fine also, some superficial marks But very good condition as it said to be. Last record of today’s video It’s not a first pressing, it’s a 1988 reissue, the original is from 1980 This second side… and Holiday In Cambodia are two songs that most people who know DK have heard. Comes with an insert… Well it’s not an insert but a booklet… It’s a poster… Wow! It’s a poster with the lyrics… and the typical madness of Jello Biafra. A collage with pictures and montages of historical characters The record has some light mark, nothing serious. The legendary logo And the tracklist for both sides. This is it for today.
