Announcing My Debut EP!

Announcing My Debut EP!

October 10, 2019 96 By Kailee Schamberger

Hey everyone! I try not to put a lot of talking on most of my cover videos, so today I’m making a special video just to announce something. And also because I’m in the middle of learning the piano part for the next cover right now, it’s taking me a long time, so I don’t have a cover ready to post that I can just tack this announcement onto. Now this is something that I’ve been talking about on my social media If you follow me on my social media, I don’t think it’s possible that you would have missed this announcement. If you don’t follow me on my social media, you are late to the party, because you could have found out about this 3 weeks ago. I’m not saying that I’m judging you, but… I’m sorry if this is all old news for you, but I’m making this video because I know it’s the best way to reach the most people and I’m really hoping for a lot of support and a great response on this. And also, because if you haven’t seen the announcement on my social media, you might be confused by the 5 videos that are going to suddenly appear on my channel a week from today. I am releasing an EP called Dis Tracks of five original songs Yes, that’s five so… no. That’s ten. It’s five. I wanted to do both for emphasis, but that’s the wrong number, so… How about this? It’s five songs that I wrote. So finally, like that one mean comment said, I can stop ruining other people’s songs and start ruining my own. And it has been an arduous process. I’ve been working on this EP for a little over a year. Dis Tracks comes out at midnight wherever you are on February 8th, and it’s going to be on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Pandora, Deezer, Google Play, Amazon, and a bunch of other little smaller outlets too. You’re also going to be able to recognize it with Shazam and Siri and put it on your Instagram story. It should be available for pre-order on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon now, and I’ll put the link for that in the description. There’s gonna be a bunch of links in the description. The link and the pre-order hasn’t been working for some people, so if the link doesn’t work, try just going to the platform and searching “Anne Reburn Dis Tracks,” and see if that works, and if that doesn’t work… well, I have emailed the customer support and I’m trying to figure out what’s going on, but in the meantime, I’m making this video anyway because you know what, f*** it. Even if you’re not going to pre-order it, I feel like you should still know about it. In addition to all those other platforms, I’m also gonna put 5 lyrics videos, one for each song, here on my channel. And will hopefully have at least one music video coming in the next few months. It’s in the works. It’s expensive. Now if you’re a streaming person and not a buying person, that’s cool. Um, you can pre-save the EP on Spotify with the link in the description Told ya there was gonna be a lot. That means the EP will magically show up in your library of saved songs as soon as it comes out. The link will also automatically follow me on Spotify so you’ll get one of the new songs in your Release Radar, probably, and you also won’t miss any of the stuff I do in the future. Please, if you’re a Spotify user, please follow me. I have like 1,200 Spotify followers, and I love each and every one, but… you know, like the Little Mermaid, I want moooore I really, really just want people to listen to it. But if you’re one of those people that’s concerned about the best way to financially support me, buying it is the way to go, rather than streaming it. On Spotify it takes about 3 streams of a song, and that has to be played over 30 seconds, you can’t just skip past the song, 3 streams for me to make a penny. And then the penny is split between two people. Or on some songs, three people. It would take about 297 streams of the full EP for me to make $4.95, which is how much it costs to buy the EP on iTunes. I don’t have plans for a physical release at this point, but it’s going to be on like every digital platform, including YouTube, which I know you use because you’re watching this, so I hope that there’s one that works for you. I also have merch now, that I designed myself. Not sure if I’ve officially plugged that in a video yet. I have tees, sweatshirts, guitar picks, and I just got stickers that I’m gonna be putting up on the store ASAP. I’m sure that I forgot to mention something that I’ll realize when I’m editing this, so I’m just going to leave a pause here for me to put that in. See, I told you. I knew I was going to forget something. I gotta say it again, one more time because I’m so excited. Dis Tracks is coming out February 8th. I’m so, so ready for the world to hear it, and I hope you all love it. I am so super thankful for all the support that my covers get, and I hope that you love the original stuff too because it is so personal to me. The covers are fun, but these songs mean so much. And the best part of all is that you only have to wait 7 days. I had to wait over a year. It’s been terrible. Alright, that’s it for now, but I’m sure we’ll talk soon. Can’t wait to hear what you all think of it. Bye!
