hey everyone its Matt and today I will be showing you all of my Nintendo 64 the Nintendo 64 was my very first home video game console that connect to a TV so it holds a very special place in my heart and while I don't have borrowed from a friend I do have quite a few left over and they're still able to be played assuming my Nintendo 64 works which I play it does either way I hope you enjoy so here we go the first game I have here yes a classic and though I guess you could call all of these classics this one is quite the classic that is banjo kazooie and this is probably one of my favorite 3d platformers of all time I'd say it's almost as good Super Mario 64 which coincidentally I don't have in this pile here because I bought it from a friend when I played it but banjo kazooie is the game that many people basically the kind of game where you run around 3d world trying to find this money I don't touken as you can I know I could be wrong about that in my mind this is the beginning of that collectathon genre and I absolutely loved it as a kid I even got the rare version which doesn't sound that special but it's a pretty special to me so next we have the sequel de banjo-kazooie banjo-tooie and many people I guess were not huge fans of this game compared to the first but as a child I did not feel that way at all I haven't played it since I was a child but I remember loving it just as much as the first one it's probably not quite as special because of it not being a new novel hanging like the first one but that's okay so after that I've got bomberman hero and bomberman hero is a game that i'm not sure if it was particularly popular or well-known to be honest I can't remember a ton about them to this day I just have a vibe around this game in my mind that is very I don't know it's very special to me I can't exactly say why I remember I'm liking it quite a bit so that was a bomberman hero next up we had we have hiruzen exotica and this is a racing game that I'm not sure if it came in to n64 arcade first because I remember all of the crews and games like cruisin USA and so on being very much arcade and experiences they were things I would enjoy playing so I don't remember a ton about this game but I remember has the title might imply that it kind of explore and next up we have probably my favorite racing game as Aikido at least at that young age and that is diddy kong racing this is a game that I think was actually remade or remastered for the D s or the 3ds at one point I'm not sure but I don't live from plaything to Nintendo 64 one very fun racer with the twist I guess that not only could you race go guards what things like planes and I don't know where their boats I can't remember I know there were at least two planes and next up was a game that was for its time so ambitious that I came with an expansion pack to embrace the memory in the console so I could be played don't get Kong 64 and I remember liking this game a lot maybe not quite as much as a little challenging at times to you if I recall correctly but it's very different for most of the Donkey Kong games and I remember thinking it was very impressive graphically for its time so yeah I was Donkey Kong 64 and next up we have extreme which was I think more of a lesser-known high speed futuristic racing game at the time compared to zero but I very much enjoyed it it kind of raised these futuristic motorcycles around crazy futuristic tracks no I can't remember too much specific about this game I remember I'm very much enjoying it it was a very futuristic thing I kind of had the vibe of late 90s early 2000s techno – it was a recent game that's how I feel about yeah I really enjoyed extremes so next we have another futuristic racing game the more well-known one f-zero X now I enjoyed this game a lot very much prefer the successor on the Gamecube f-zero GX was perhaps my favorite racing game of all time but f-zero X is still a great deal on its own and if I recall correctly it was I may be completely miss remembering that I remember very much feeling like this game was even if the graphics aren't quite as impressive and next we have a very odd game but an all game that I appreciate for its hardness and that is and I don't recall it being quite as action-packed I see explosion on the Arctic might imply but I remember getting this game as a rental first I think and then liking it so much as a kid I do remember thinking that the controls were a little tricky at times and wasn't quite as smooth as other 3d platformers like and so next up we have game on this great adventure yeah pretty much I thought I thought that I was forgetting the name of this for a second but then I realized I was thinking and I think that was mr. corn ninja strain came on that one I recall renting but I recall not liking this one quite as much as mystical ninja still a pretty good game though I think it was just a little different style I can't really remember exactly how it played though so I couldn't tell you here is a special one you pick you know I don't even know if I still have the microphone that this game came with but this was a less of a game and more of a virtual and I remember it being particularly simple and shallow but it was fun all the same it was very much a novelty novelty I was happy to have it so good I can't believe say too much else about it other than I remember you lying those stupid things I picked you and yeah that was he you Pikachu and next we have a game that I imagined was not too popular but as a kid you loved on wheels I really enjoyed this one this is Hot Wheels turbo racing and I don't remember too much about it other than going through crazy race tracks with loop-de-loops and I think you could kind of boost and things like that I don't really remember that much about this game to be honest as I do this video I'm remembering less than I expected about the details I guess you could say these games are more like a nostalgic feeling in my brain as opposed to hyper specific moments and I don't mind that but it is interesting that sounds kind of weird but I think you know what I mean so next up we have a very unique an odd racing game that I really enjoyed wrecking ball and eggies wrecking balls we're just kind of if I remember correctly like a side-scrolling racing game where you want from left to right and right to left around platform as I kind of course I really like weird stuff so this was my kind of game if I recall this was another one that I rented and then liked it so much that I decided to buy it but it is very much a product of its time where people were experimenting with the kinds of things you could do with 3d gaming and I appreciate it for that so next up we have knife edge nose gunner and this in my memory feels like a game that take good very good reviews I think it was a pretty short and simple game like I think you just play this helicopter or this fighter jet I don't know exactly what it is and it's kind of an on-rails shooter starfox 64 but without the kind of polish and world of star fox 64 I don't remember too much else about this but I remember liking it so that's all that matters and speaking of Star Fox 64 I will talk about that now because well I do own it I spent quite a while trying to find it before maybe one of my favorite games of all time I don't know how well has aged the last time I played it was a few years ago on the 3ds but there's a very simple but very enjoyable very playable action game and I really really loved it I wish but I appreciate I'm trying unlike other I'm not going to rant about that in this video so next we have a special one and that is the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this was my favorite Zelda game of all time opinion I know especially with Ocarina of Time on the n64 when there was something extra special about this game and it's kind of dark creepy weird vibe and time travel at all time that really gripped me I really really really enjoy this game and on the topic of Zelda you might be expecting Ocarina of Time next if you're going I can't recall if I rented it or borrowed it from a friend when I played it or I might have sold it in my so it comes out on top for me and next up is another special game from my childhood and that is Mario Kart 64 but Mario Kart 64 was a big part of so many people's childhoods around my age that's just a simple fun unpredictable recent game I don't really need to explain more how cart everyone knows what Mario Kart is but I will say there's nothing like being in first place for an entire race that's something that Mario Kart has still not gotten right after this day so next up we have an inferior kart racing game but when I remember enjoying quite a bit anyway it's basically a mariokart rip-off with mickey and other disney characters that's pretty much all there is to it to be honest so yeah Mickey USA okay and next up is a very peculiar game that holds a special place in my heart and that E's mischief-makers I don't think this game was particularly popular or well known at the time and it didn't quite take advantage of the Nintendo 64 hardware if I remember it properly it was basically a pretty straightforward side-scrolling platformer elements to it but something about this game he done Irvan me and I I can't really explain it just like the art design and the sound design something about it was really weird and very much of the 90s to me in a way that makes it extra nostalgic if you played mischief-makers you might know what I'm talking about or he might not maybe it was just me but this game is somehow very special for me I can't quite explain why so that's that mr. maker and next up is Namco Museum 64 which is just a collection of some pretty much sets on here it has pac-man miss pac-man Galaga Galaxian I don't think if you played them you played them and you know when they are and even if you haven't you probably know what most of them are anyway so that's that and next up we have Paper Mario and Paper Mario was an interesting game for me because I've generally not been a huge fan of turn-based RPGs throughout my life but this game in the second Paper Mario I absolutely loved I think there was something with the addition of the timing based attacks during the turn-based battles that made it more engaging and interesting for me instead of boring and of course having Mario in a game always makes things more fun especially when he's kind of in this weird papercraft style and unlike many other Nintendo 64 games I feel like this one has aged very well visually because of its style it's very simple but very iconic and I think it worked super well but if you haven't played the Paper Mario games Paper Mario and Paper Mario thousand-year door and you're interested in playing with some retro turn-based RPGs with something different do I would have very highly recommend the games oh yeah and next up we have pokemon stadium and I'm covering up one stadium I remember kind of blowing my mind bigger and better graphics on the Nintendo 64 and this was so there's not much else to today not really what I'm gonna go back to I don't think but I'm glad I have it and now we have snowboard kids – I don't think I ever played the first one but I remember renting this game and thinking it was so much fun I had to buy it like a few of the others here and I remember buying this game a lot it's kind of a weird mix of snowboarding game and kart racer in a way there are no cards but I had power-ups and weapons and things you could throw it your enemies just like Mario Kart I feel like these popular I used to be done I wish this is Shauna row make a comeback kind of a silly snowboard racing game no that much after all well next up we have another recent game I feel like there were a lot of great racing games on the n64 Star Wars Episode one racer was based on basically just the pod racing from the Star Wars Episode one and made an entire game out of it and it was a very very fast-paced for its time it was also a game where you could upgrade your pod racers and kind of kind of do a lot of stuff that wasn't in many of the simpler racing games in terms of tuning their vehicle and of course it had the elements of vehicle health and damage and repairs and all that I very much have enjoyed in games like f-zero so for me this game was fantastic and I recently played it on PC actually and it holds up pretty well for a game of its age now next up is the game I started it all for a certain you know franchise super smash it's just super smash brothers just started the franchise and for that reason it may be the most important of course when anybody came out this game was pretty much never played again but I'm glad I have it as a piece of nostalgia that's something I can go back to if I ever want to and next up we have one of the many very strange variations on Tetris that have come out over the years and that is fear and I haven't played it in a while but basically Tetris but instead of in kind of a vertical call them it is all around a sphere or shape thing where you place the blocks down it's like you're dropping them in front of you looking down on the planet and I don't remember too much else about this game other than the fact that it didn't interest me when I heard about it but I played it at my uncle's house this was very much a time when I would play a games at friends houses and then decide to buy them something that I feel like but here's what it is tetrisphere and enjoyable twist on Tetris next up is a game called tonic trouble this was one of the many variations on the 3d platformer at the time and I remember very much enjoying it but I also feel like I got stuck at one point pretty early on without knowing what to do and I stopped the game there I don't really remember too much tell us about this game other than the kind of evil vegetables you can see over here next up is a game in a different colored cartridge can you guess what it is based on the color of the cartridge you're seeing there you are correct now this is an iconic game I started a franchise that kind of fizzled out by the end but the first three huge for a reason the skateboarding genre was just so much fun doing all the tricks and riding around with all the very much it's time it was something that is a part of my childhood that I don't think I'll ever forget I don't remember too much specific like I can't recall a moment that I loved buying this game I just remember loving it and just the vibe feels like when I was just getting old enough to try and be cool I don't know if people in today's generation of kids growing up can really per say but at the time skateboarding was very cool so yeah Tony Hawk's Pro Skater so we've got a couple more games left and the first of those is wave race 64 which is part of a very small genre that I don't think has seen any more games in the genre any time recently yeah this was a pretty simple game you just braced jet skis around tracks on the ocean it was still pretty cool and unique and I do have fond memories of it nonetheless and so the last game in my Nintendo 64 game collection and this is a very short simple easy game but I remember loving it like most of the other Yoshi games it has a very distinct style to it and I remember kind of things in this game was actually creepy at times some of the pre-rendered sprites of the creatures and enemies and things like that just looked a little weird and off I think that's part of the charm to be honest in this rendered in poorly lit 90s pre-rendered CGI and used as sprites it was kind of a creepy game but it came that I very much enjoyed so that was the oshi's story and that about does it for my Nintendo 64 game collection Goldeneye or Super Mario 64 for me that made them pretty special even if they weren't that great so it is a special time being a kid so I've enjoyed remembering these games today and I hope you've enjoyed watching me thank you for watching and if you like this let me know and maybe I'll do another video about my game thanks for watching and I'll see you next time
