The long queues at a railway station are
a common issue. At one time or the other, we’d genuinely wish if we could book the
general ticket online just like the reserved ones.
Guess what, the railway came up with a solution!!! Keep watching the video to know
more. Hey guys, last week some of you might
have received an email from the railway mentioning about the booking of unreserved
tickets online. They have mentioned about an application called UTS on
mobile. Let’s check it out… This is the application. I have already installed it Okay, I am signing up. We need to provide a
few details during sign up, which includes a mobile number and an
identification card. Here, I used my Aadhar card. After that you will receive an OTP
for verification after verification we need to fill in a
few more details we have the option to add a route for
quick booking. we can skip this step and add route later if we wish this is the main menu
everything here is self-explanatory let’s try to book a ticket. Quick booking
is to book a ticket for a saved route. we will go to the normal booking. select the
book and travel paperless option. We need to give location access for this to work.
there is something called Geo-fencing, you can only book the ticket if you are
within 5 kilometer from the starting station and 15 meter away from the track
or station. this is to prevent the misuse of the application. if there is more than
one route available we can select which route we want to travel Here I am trying to book a ticket
between two nearby stations. the payment can be done by using IRCTC wallet or any
other e-wallets or using a debit or credit card. here I am using my Paytm
wallet to book the ticket. so guys now I’ve successfully booked the ticket. it seems
like the app doesn’t allow screenshots or screen recording you can find the ticket in the show
ticket option. this can be shown to the TTE. The TTE also has the option to verify
your ticket using the barcode. So that’s it guys thanks for watching and if you
