I believe we have more depression in today's culture because everyone is trying to do everything and play so many roles. We've placed many burdens on ourselves. Reply Kris Riley says: June 28, 2019 at 11:19 am I get sick of people saying that sex is soooooo important in a relationship when it isn't. I find that a relationship built on a foundation of friendship is a good idea because friendship is based on trust. The 3 things that I personally feel make a relationship work are Friendship 90%, Respect 9% and Passion 1%. People listen to the media way to much instead of listening to there own hearts and deciding for themselves. There are to many of these so called experts that tell people that what they are doing is wrong and that we need to change if we want to be happy. There is to much pressure on people to be something that they could never be because the standards from the media and society are to high. The media is just a circus putting on a show of non viable expectations. Just be realistic about being human and don't expect to much out of yourselfs and your partner and you will be content and comfortable which to me is a good thing.Remember no one is perfect. Reply shamanahaboolist says: June 28, 2019 at 11:19 am I really respect Esther and love how truthful she is. But none of what she says makes me feel like I need to belong or want someone. If anything it just makes it seem even more advantageous to opt out of many relationships.
