Reply Caleb Bornman says: December 7, 2017 at 6:51 pm Hey Chris, I don't know if you do this but if you leave a mirrorless camera on while switching lenses the sensor is eletrically charged which attracts dust particles. Turning off the camera allows less dust to get on your sensor. Reply Isaac Roufs says: December 10, 2017 at 5:06 pm If that bag was ever stolen… Reply Donald Kline Media says: December 11, 2017 at 2:05 am Hey ChrisI got a mild case of G.A.S myself. I always have earplugs for when I'm around loud vehicles and bands A multitool of some kind but I usually have one on me at all times. I also keep a small Swiss Army Knife in my camera bag got one with scissors always helpful.Gaffers Tape. On the Sony NP FW50 batteries yea I know about those, I got a Sony a6000 which I use with my Canon 7D mk ii, I found what is called a dual USB charger on Amazon that can charge two of those batteries at once, the USB cable tucks into a slot on the bottom and you can charge your batteries one of several ways, plug directly into a USB charging port like on a computer, in a car and even in some hotel-motel rooms, you can also use the Sony provided plug on it, and mine has a micro usb plug (the dual USB) which I can plug into a wall socket using the charging cord and plug that came with my Sony A6k connects right up. I have also charged them using one a power bank. Can't do that with my Canon Batteries LOL Lowepro makes some good stuff I used them for years, but I'm using Think Tank Photo bags and accessories for the time being but you know how that goes who knows what brand I'll be using next year (Was a fan of Tamrac bags years ago)sorry for the long post I'm a writer too so I tend to go long. really like your videos. Reply bigshooter461 says: December 31, 2017 at 7:34 pm That RX100 MK V it quite the secret weapon Chris, it's been on my wish list since a visit to Aden and the realization of it's high speed video capabilities. My quiver of Canon tools doesn't come close to the high speed capture abilities of that little piece of B-Roll Magic, I'm curious what you think of it? Reply Kevin Cockerline says: January 2, 2018 at 11:29 pm Totally buying the aperture light! It’ll be perfect for my shoot coming up, thanks! Reply Max Ostwalt says: January 3, 2018 at 10:09 pm Hey, is it true, that the a7sii has a 2.2times crop while shooting 120frames and would you recomend buying the a7sii for travelvideos and imagefilms? Reply Joe Hallgren says: January 4, 2018 at 1:17 am I just need to find a bag to manage all my cables and my external HD now. Literally just talked myself out of buying it before watching your video and now i wanna go spend $300. Thanks 🙂 Reply Jeremy K says: February 6, 2018 at 12:55 am Video idea: a quality comparison on the pro-mist filters you talked about. It seems as if they are low-key being used by the video industry, but not so much by the youtube community. Reply PARV JINDAL says: February 13, 2018 at 6:04 pm you use a very expensive gimbal stabilizer for videography….. is there another cheaper replacement for it for beginners? maybe for about 20-120 $ or any other way to take stable videos Reply Russell Wood says: March 1, 2018 at 10:43 pm hi Chris enjoyed your video very much I got really excited when you said you were a gearhead years ago are used to do film photography and even develop my own black-and-white and colour but as I travelled around the world I stopped doing it for years. But in the last 2 1/2 years I've just gotten back into photography I know it's all digital and like you want me gearhead only I think I go a lot further than you do I currently own two compact cameras one GoPro three pro level the SLR's six pro level zoom lenses eight pro level prime lenses . 4 TTL flashes, 5 gitzo tripods, 2 pelican cases, 3 backpacks ,2 messenger style bags and 2 think tank roller bags . 5 remote triggers , 25 different pro level Lee filters, 3 TB of memory in CompactFlash cards and SD cards, cleaning and repair gear and enough battery power to power a small town. And this doesn't even include the lighting gear I started to buy . You're doing a lot better than I am I think I have the gear sickness a lot worse than you do. I'm currently living in Alberta Canada and I was flying back to Ireland to visit friends and family and while there I wanted to do photography so I packed up a bunch of my gear and two roller bags and to messenger bags and my clothes into one suitcase. I checked in my suitcase and the lady told me I had to check in my carry-ons that I could only take one of the messenger bags and one of the roller bags I told her it had camera gear in it and I wasn't checking in and I was allowed to take it onto the plane. She told me I wasn't allowed to take it onto the plane I told her I was she said there's absolutely no way I could and I said yes there is she asked me what made me different from everybody else ? so I told her I bought two seats so my luggage capacity was double and this is what makes me different from everyone else getting on to your plane. She smiled and threw her hands up into the air I smiled back and told her this wasn't my first rodeo. Reply Ze Carlos Cornejo Cabanillas says: March 8, 2018 at 7:56 pm Hi Chris, do younot use a steady cam? Quick tip: Keep a thing of Tide-to-Go in your bag, it quickly removes stains on the go which can be great if you or a talent has a stain or something on their clothes. Reply Mick St John says: March 21, 2018 at 7:35 am A new 35mm f 1.4 is my next piece of equipment that I will get 🙂 Reply Robin Wiman says: March 27, 2018 at 8:47 am I got the same bag 😀 the ONLY caveat I have with it is the "stiff" feeling about it, it's not like a real backpack 😛 But still the best camera bag I've ever had. Reply Alex Carrillo says: October 6, 2019 at 9:33 pm Your lighting on your gear when showing solo is a bit under expose. Also DeCaffe please. Tiffen filters are the best filters to use, but some shooters rather shoot their photos WITHOUT a filter so their shots are always SOFT! And realize that when look at their lens will have oil residue- finger prints, and maybe a small BUG. Be smart get a UV filter to protect your lens or lenses…. Oh and last, did you know that the camera body he has is a Minolta Body with a SONY name badge, Sony acquired Minolta/Konica in the mid 2000's, as the saying goes: "Only from the Minds of Minolta With Sony" in which both bodies, and lenses were from Minolta/Konica I mean who else is making the bodies, and lenses? Reply Stephanie Mannix says: November 16, 2019 at 2:03 pm Would love to know how he fits all of that in there! Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
