it's 100 we hold this event because our students from across Nate McEwen NORC West and you of a they need to know how to work together and they don't have this opportunity any other way until they could get into clinical practice until they've graduated and that's too late as far as I'm concerned they need to be working together right from the very beginning of their programs so they learn from each other and if we expect care to be provided as a team needs to educate as teams I think that it's important that you realize that you're in Alberta Health Services so you're part of this team of like what like almost a million people and so I think that it's important to know who you're working with and it's important to know how you can work with that person and what each person can bring and contribute to saving Stan or saving a patient it's it's a learning experience a chance to correct things in a practice setting where no one's getting hurt so you take every chance you get to improve yourself what I've learned today will greatly improve me as a nurse because I think that I've learned so much about communication I've learned so much like Brendan says about the thing is that you know you practiced these things when you're students so that way you can screw up on you know simulation labs and not real people and I think that it's important to better yourself and to better your practice before you actually start practicing and I think that this does just that we are all healthcare practitioners and we will need to talk to each other at one point in our careers so it's really good that we're able to get together and work together and kind of get a better idea as to what kind of responsibilities every one of us has and that we can rely on them for advice and whatnot it's just really important to get together it's really good experience we get thrown into different situations we're able to meet different people from different professions and just kind of learn from each other a lot of us will be working with different health professionals at some point or another in our career so this experience that we get is just really important in terms of like learning how to communicate with other health professionals I'm gonna approach like future careers in health promotion and just with a little bit more knowledge right like having a better idea of what other health professions I'm working with or actually like and how what they do can contribute to how I can better manage a patient's care there's so many different health care professions and everyone has their own specific role like but at the same time that it all comes together so you need everyone to kind of like work as a team it's a good experience you get thrown in real-life situations a lot of them you don't even get like a scenario to read up on and know what it's like and you know that happens in real life yeah I guess you can see we saved Stan no I didn't get to save Stan I you know what I did I saved I saved the female Stan situations as a team we save Stan sometimes not so much
