hi welcome to HiSky development blogs. when starting the game we have a simple main menu scene that has four buttons which are: new game, load game, then options where you have a back button and
finally the exit game button with blender software I created the first
model of the game which is an island for now it’s going to be a simple model with
a minimum number of triangles. Alright, This is the first 3d model of the game
and I kinda love this way of showing the updates. This music you are hearing it will be one of the game soundtracks and i composed in an online platform called SoundTrap. where you can create music online After that I created the first 3d human model and i did three animations which are:
running, walking and idle, three simple animations so we have an island now in the main
menu scene starting a new game you spawn at the island and you can walk around
basically for now it’s only a walking simulator game it does nothing more than
that I’ve optimized the head up display so it
only creates the HUD when only necessary, a quick example, if you start a
new game it destroys the main menu HUD and creates a new one the gameplay
another example pausing the game it destroys the gameplay HUD and creates a
new head-up display the pause menu the flying island model has now textures
which I downloaded from a site where you can download them and use them for free
but of course you have to give them the credit after creating the gameplay
head-up display I start making the pause menu HUD
where you can access the options from your pause menu or save the game, resume,
or even going back to the main menu scene I drew some stuff in Photoshop like
letters a flying board and an island and the last thing I did was a logo where I
animated with unity engine, as you know I spent a lot of time writing lines of
code and would be boring watching me writing lines of code because most of
the time it’s just me thinking how I’m going to write the code or trying to
figure out a bug, so in short what I want to say is sometimes I will not record me
writing lines of code thanks for watching if you want to test the game, the download button of this alpha version is in the description, the game will be free
to play, see you next week!
