How to classify a document | OpenText Intelligent Capture 16 Web Client
In this tutorial, you will learn how to classify a document by selecting a capture profile and a document type. To select a capture profile and start the process, click Begin for the WebClientSample capture profile. To scan a document, click the Scan Import scanner. While scanning documents, classification is performed and if a matching document type is found for the document, then it is applied. In this case, the document has not been classified. A document type is a template for a standard document in your organization. For example, an expense report or billing statement would typically have fields for dates, check numbers, and amounts. To classify the document, manually select the Invoice document type. Click Unclassified and then Invoice. Once a document is classified, you can also correct data. To do so, click Next to go to the Review step. In the Review step, the data in the fields might not meet the criteria defined by the document type… … or the data might not have been correctly extracted. To fix the issues, click in the highlighted fields to edit the data. For each field, a message describing the issue is also displayed. To submit your document to the Captiva Capture server for further processing, click Next and then Submit.
