[ Music ]>>Welcome to UIS. Today we’re taking you
through the Office of Records and Registration
located on the 1st floor of University Hall,
also known as UHB. The Office of Records and Registration is commonly
referred to as The Office of the Registrar, and
consists of a number of important units responsible
for a variety of duties. These units include
registrations, records, graduation, and degree audits. Registration includes
course registration and tuition and fee assessments. Records include the issuance
of official UIS transcripts. Records staff also integrate
changes and provide enrollment and degree verifications. Graduation includes the
awarding of all degrees and the production of diplomas. Our graduation staff can provide
general graduation information and can answer questions
regarding applying for graduation and the Annual
Spring Commencement Ceremony. The degree audits area is
also housed in the Office of Records and Registration. The degree audit system is an
online tool students can use to track their degree progress. Information for all majors,
minors, and certificates, is available in the
degree audit system. The degree audit staff
is available to assist with questions pertaining
to the degree audit system. As you can probably tell,
the Office of Records and Registration will be
involved in your UIS journey from the very beginning, until
the very end at graduation. Please be aware, it is very
important that you actively read and reply and necessary to
all emails from the Office of Records and Registration. Now that you know a little more
