RESIDENT EVIL 7 NEWS | TAPE RECORDER SAVE SYSTEM & AUTO SAVE CONFIRMED | Vol. 3 Recorder

New Resident Evil 7 mini teaser trailers were
released and it is finally revealed one way we will be saving our games, and here’s a
hint, it is not a typewriter. So let’s ditch those ink ribbons and talk
about the new save system in: RESIDENT EVIL 7 In the video titled “Recorder” it is revealed
the new save system will involve audio tape recorders, something we’ve seen already as
part of the title screen image. It looks like a tape was already in the machine,
but you may have to find audio tapes instead of ink ribbons to put in the recorders to
save the game. As for the save file. It shows the difficulty level, the time playing
the game, The location of the save point, and what looks to be the current objective,
in this case “Escape from the house”. In a recent interview with gaming site Yugatech,
RE7 producer Masachika Kawata noted that there would be no chapters, but you still might
have objectives. In that same interview he confirmed there
would also be autosave, something we last saw in Resident Evil 6. Although Kawata said the number of checkpoints
would vary based on difficulty, which means auto-save might be disabled on the harder
difficulties. Either way it looks like there is a dual save
system. So this January when you are running as fast
as you can trying to escape the main house, you might want to duck into that laundry save
room on the 1st floor, grab some ammo from the item box and pop in an audio cassette
tape to save your game before you inevitably die in: RESIDENT EVIL 7 Crimson Army. What are your thoughts on this save system? Do you like autosave? Let me know in the comments and don’t forget
to like and subscribe.
