What Happened To The Most Memorable Bachelor Couples?

Bachelor Nation doesn’t have a great track
record when it comes to long-lasting love, but they sure do create some memorable moments. Here’s a look at what our fave Bachelor couples
are up to, whether they’re planning their wedding, welcoming a new baby, or licking
their break-up wounds. Once Ben Higgins’ Bachelor season came to
an end in March 2016, he and fiancée Lauren Bushnell found it difficult to keep writing
the fairy tale they seemed to have found on TV. After The Bachelor, the couple went on to
star in Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? a Freeform reality show that documented the
couple as they tried to navigate their new normal and plan a wedding. However, they eventually called the whole
thing off when Higgins revealed he wasn’t yet, quote, “comfortable getting married.” In May 2017, the pair announced they’d split
for good. As of the making of this video, Bushnell is
engaged to country singer Chris Lane, who proposed in June 2019. After learning of Bushnell’s engagement, Higgins,
who announced his relationship with Jessica Clarke in February 2019, expressed well wishes
for his former flame on his podcast, Almost Famous, saying, “Lauren, congratulations. We’re thrilled for you. You found a man that you love without any
pressure, and I could not be more excited for you.” It’s safe to say that no one expected that
Bachelor in Paradise Season 5 would end with Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson leaving
the beach an engaged couple. For starters, Nielson received the “villain
edit” while on The Bachelor, making the fitness coach a bit of a polarizing figure within
Bachelor Nation. Randone also had a history of stirring up
drama something that led to his early elimination on The Bachelorette. Fortunately, this Bachelor couple found their
way to each other in paradise, leaving behind their former questionable reputations and
saying hello to forever when Nielson accepted Randone’s proposal, which fans witnessed during
the September 2018 season finale. The lovebirds went on to wed in June 2019
with Bachelor host Chris Harrison as their officiant, and their dreamy ceremony was aired
during Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. In August 2019, Nielson revealed to Entertainment
Tonight that she and Randone were already planning to start a family, saying, “I’ve gotten off of birth control. We’re talking about the beginning of the year,
starting to try for a family.” Carly Waddell and Evan Bass made a connection
in 2016 as cast members on Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 however, their initial connection
was pretty faulty. Bass was steady in his feelings, but Waddell
just didn’t quite seem as smitten. Though she eventually agreed to accompany
him on a date, the reality star said in a one-on-one interview that kissing Bass was
vomit-inducing. Ouch. As much as she tried to resist a relationship,
Waddell eventually fell for Bass’ “weird” charm, and the two left Paradise engaged and
very much in love. The happy couple tied the knot in a June 2017
beachside wedding, and welcomed their first child, Isabella, together in February 2018. In May 2019, the Bachelor couple announced
they were expecting their second child together, with Waddell posting on Instagram, “[We’re] so SO EXCITED to FINALLY announce
Bella’s little brother or sister will be here in November!!!” Baby brother Charles was born on November
12th, 2019. Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 was “the most
dramatic season ever” before the season even premiered largely due to the rumors swirling
around contestant Blake Horstmann’s reported hookups/relationships with multiple Bachelor
Nation women. Hannah Godwin was at the center of those rumors,
and, as fans saw during the early episodes of Season 6, she felt a connection with Horstmann
that she wanted to explore. Of course, this was much to the chagrin of
Dylan Barbour, who only had eyes for Godwin from the moment he met her. Luckily for him, Godwin soon realized her
feelings for Horstmann paled in comparison to her connection with Barbour, and the two
remained a constant throughout the season, leaving Paradise an engaged couple. In a September 2019 interview with Glamour,
Godwin revealed that the two were enjoying their time as a newly engaged Bachelor couple
instead of rushing a wedding, saying, “We are younger, but we both are ready for
[marriage]. Whenever we are both able to move in together,
that’s going to be a good time for us to start discussing a wedding and everything like that.” Deami Burnett first appeared as a contestant
on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, quickly becoming a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite
for her quick wit, sass, and memorable quips. While she ultimately didn’t win Underwood’s
heart, Burnett did score herself a spot in the cast of Bachelor in Paradise Season 6
coming out as bisexual in the season’s first episode. After a short romance with contestant Derek
Peth, Burnett was surprised by the arrival of Kristian Haggerty, the woman she’d been
casually seeing before leaving for Bachelor in Paradise. Burnett and Haggerty spent the rest of their
time on the show further exploring their reignited relationship and when Burnett proposed in
the season finale, the two made history as the Bachelor franchise’s first same-sex proposal
and engagement. However happy they may be, the couple is taking
their time in planning a wedding. Burnett told People in September 2019, “I don’t think we should jump into moving
in together. We already got engaged in such a short amount
of time. We need to have time to date and have a steady-paced
relationship.” Check out one of our newest videos right here! Plus, even more The List videos about your
